I’m curious about something: how many of you can honestly say that your significant others and friends actually understand your blogging addiction? Seriously. Please don’t pretend that it’s not an addiction. We’re all friends here.
My husband has seen me through lots of addictions. Most of mine are still going strong. There’s card design, digital scrapbooking, photography… I’ll stop there.
Tonight, I was trying to explain how I could feel such an affinity to so many people that I’ve never actually met in person. So I started reading to him from your blogs.
I started with Jubilee. Her husband is deployed somewhere, serving our country. Her little boy said a prayer for him that made me smile. I’m thinking about him tonight too Jubilee.
Then I showed him Next Door To My Ex’s planters. His first reaction was “No way! Her ex seriously lives next door?” Seriously. Oh, and honey? She climbs the catwalk herself and plants those flowers with her own two hands.
And Jenny - what a saint. This woman actually taught Sunday School to preschoolers and lived to tell about it. I’m not worthy.
My bud Kelsey always has a great photo tip on Friday. She’s a fabulous photographer, and a heck of a nice person.
Kim’s post about being a mom just spoke to me. She’s a fabulous person and so generous with her time.
And then there’s St. Phanie. Girl, you hit the big time! I’m cheering you on! I can always count on you for a pick-me-up, but that header, I was laughing so hard that Mikey had to look for himself. You did mean for that to be funny, right?
Mommy Pie took a step back in time to meet the Ingalls. Well, sort of. I could actually smell the kerosene from their lantern, and pictured those kids’ little faces as they hovered over their book learnin’. I guess I’m saying I actually grew fond of them.
Then there’s San Diego Momma. The first friend I ever made in the blogosphere. She’s taken me in and shown me the ropes, and unbeknownst to her, inspired me to be a better writer. SDM bends over backwards (I think literally) to be an amazing mom. She writes about real life. Amazing and thought provoking posts that make me laugh. Today’s post is a little scary. Her blog is the one I rush home to read. Nothin’ but love for ya SDM.
I read each and every one of these posts to Mikey. He laughed, asked questions about your lives, and found himself drawn in just like me. See there? Thanks for being such an inspiration of bloggy goodness.
