A new find

One of my favorite things in the world is finding a new good read. My new (and now very dear) friend Kathleen recommended The Thirteenth Tale. I had this on my “shelf” for some time, but somehow, never got to it. But when she gave me the nudge, I thought I’d give it a try.

I’m listening to this book via Audible on my iPod. I get creative energy when I’m listening to a particularly good book while I’m doing a graphic design project, or working on my photography. In the case of this book, listening to the book in the voices of the two main characters makes it so colorful and gives it a depth that I might have missed if I read it rather than listened.

I’m about half way through, and was pulled in from the very first chapter. Thanks for the nudge Kathleen!

That is my absolute favorite book. I can’t wait until you’re done and we can discuss the ending.

I am in the process of starting a book club and have been searching for a book to kick things off. I am going to have to check this one out!! I just finished The Poisonwood Bible and really enjoyed it.

Yeah! You’re liking it. I’m thrilled. This is one of my top three favs in the last several years. Of course I’m a Jane Eyre fan and it has serious overtones of that amazing novel. How cool to LISTEN to it. I may have to do that too…

Wow now I am intrigued, too. Thanks for the idea - I will put it on my list.
