Randomness, a meme and lovey stuff

Steph? If you keep saying such nice things about me, my head might swell. But would that be so bad? So stop it some more. (Shuttie already if you’re reading this Lynn). That would be a not so subtle message to my younger sister, whom I am certain is snorting on her chardonnay after reading Steph’s loveliness. We do love each other, but geez, we shared a bedroom as teenagers.

So Steph gets me all slathered up with lovely words and then asks me to participate in a meme. What could I say? Here are 10 random facts about me, a little ditty that originated from Flickrlovr.

10. I hate gnomes and clowns. I don’t really get the point of either.

9. While we’re on the subject, I also hate clutter. I don’t have “knick knacks” or “crap knacks” as Michael calls them. Mainly because they collect dust. Give me clean spaces. Oh, there I go dreaming again.

8. I am introverted in a large group, but can chat away like nobody’s business if it’s just you and me. I hate talking about myself, so I’m a really good conversationalist. (Is that two things?)

7. Never, ever serve me margarine instead of butter. It’s wrong. Kind of like that fake non-dairy creamer instead of half and half.

6. Speaking of dairy, if you look in my fridge right now, you’ll find at least 20 different varieties of cheese. I’m dead serious.

5. I love coffee, but only when I first wake up.

4. I happily give up manicures and pedicures so I can buy fabulous skin care products. My logic is that you cut your nails off. Your face is pretty much with you all the time.

3. When I retire, I plan to be a children’s photographer. It’s a passion of mine.

2. I can be ridiculously practical. I really don’t think I need more than one really good purse.

1. I appreciate my husband. Is that corny? I mean that I get what he does for us and try to let him know often that I notice. Next year I will have been married as long as I was single. And in case you’re wondering, I married young.

10 - I agree. They’re creepy and weird.
9 - ME TOO! The very few knick knacks we have were all gifts. Okay except Willow Tree stuff. I’m a sap for that stuff. It’s an illness.
8 - Who cares if it’s two things? Hee. Also? I’m the exact. opposite. How crazy is that?
7 - PREACH IT, SISTER!!
6 - That is…AWESOME.
5 - RIGHT?! Coffee midday? Buh whaaa? But I have a fierce soda habit I’m trying to kick. I’m weaning myself. It’s sad.
4 - I love your logic. This is the logic I use about paying for my eyebrows to get waxed v. paying for pedis. (Plus, the waxing is cheaper.)
3 - This is also AWESOME! And why wait ’til retirement? Start freelancing now, if you’re worried about the $$. You’re good, lady!
2 - Oh. Girrrrrl. Preach it. Except I have yet to find a really great purse. My dream is to find, like, the perfect purse and buy five of them. As one wears out, I’ll haul its clone out to carry. I’ll be covered ’til I die. It’s a sad dream, but it’s mine.
1 - It’s not corny. It’s sweet and fabulous, and I hope I feel the same way when I’ve been married ten years. Hee! (I know how long it’s really been, I swear.)

PS Tell your sister that just because you used to leave your panties on the floor doesn’t mean you don’t rock NOW.

I totally agree about margarine.

It’s one of those things that you can’t really explain it’s existence and you wonder why people prefer it.

Kind of like spam.

Or pigs feet.

Or the pink eggs in a jar.

We have a lot in common! Except for #5. I don’t get the coffee thing. It smells bad. I love love love Mocha almond fudge ice cream from Baskin Robbins though. I know. I can’t make up my mind.

#8 I so get that!

Isn’t it the strangest thing?

I’m like a wallflower in a crowd but will talk to ANYONE one on one for hours.

Glad to know there are OTHERS…
