Mix Tape Monday: Amanda

Last fall, I met Amanda. She is founder of The Mom Crowd, where she and several other lovely people dispense motherly wisdom and wit to the masses. Turns out, she has fabulous taste in music too! There are some great finds in this mix. Dig in, then visit her at The Mom Crowd.

Hi Myra, Thank you so much for highlighting my mix this week. I have listened to this mix at least a dozen times since I created it last week.

I enjoy Mixtape Monday’s because I can find new music to check out. :)

I think everyone has their own taste, it isn’t good or bad. Unless you like Ashlee Simpson’s “music” then yes, you may have bad taste in music.

Steph: I knew you had great taste when you listed that Prince song. Haven’t got it out of my head since. :)

Kelsey: That’s it. You’re officially invited to share a mix. I know you’ve got it!

Amanda: Thanks for saying what I think. You’re not allowed to call yourself a rocker if those Simpson chicks are on your ipod. Sorry. Loved your mix! Thanks for playing!

    Awesome as usual.
I love Amanda’s taste in music and am the proud owner of many of her mix CDs.

    I love this mix!

oooh, i love Heavenly Day. i think it has more plays on my ipod than any other song.

and i just bought Be Be Your Love last week!! uncanny!!

however, i refuse to listen to Dreams. i am a huge Cranberries fan but the overplay of that song in the past 12 or so years offends me. it’s in movies. it’s still played on standard top 40 radio. and the Cranberries have about 85 other top-notch songs that are worth hearing. (none of this has to do with your taste, amanda, i’m just saying to all that, for the Cranberries’ sake, check out “Promises” or “Just My Imagination” or “You & Me” or “Forever Yellow Skies” or “Stars”).

i can’t wait to check out the tunstall tune you picked out!
